Deborah Martinez

If you’ve been listening to KUNM for a while, you will easily recognize Deborah Martinez’ voice.  Deborah was a Reporter and News Anchor with KUNM News from 2001 through 2006.  She did some formidable reporting on the NM Legislative sessions during those years.  She lives in Santa Fe and knows the ins-and-outs of state government as well as anyone working in media these days.

Deborah took a hiatus from KUNM when she worked as Public Information Officer for the NM Department of Information and Technology from 2006 through the end of 2010.  Deborah has also worked in television news.  She served as Press Secretary for (then) Congressman Tom Udall in 1999 and 2000.  Deborah is a graduate of UNM.
